CBD which is also known as Cannabidiol is a naturally occurring ingredient found in the cannabis plant. CBD can be in different forms mainly as an extract or oil which can be combined with other natural ingredients to create CBD-based and infused products and topicals that provide a myriad of benefits.
There are three types of CBD – full-spectrum, broad-spectrum and isolate. The primary difference between each type of CBD is how many other compounds they contain.
About Full Spectrum CBD
Full Spectrum CBD products typically contain up to 0.3% of THC which is the industry standard for how much THC is allowed in CBD products. Full Spectrum CBD contains all the compounds from the hemp plant from which it’s extracted, such as terpenes, essential vitamins and minerals, and other cannabinoids. Because all of these compounds remain, Full Spectrum CBD is said to have the “entourage effect,” which basically means, because it contains all of these compounds, it maximizes the health benefits of the CBD product. Some of these benefits include reducing anxiety, seizures, and pain.
About Broad Spectrum CBD
Broad Spectrum CBD doesn’t contain any THC at all. In theory. Some products can contain very small, trace amounts of THC but it’s virtually undetectable, which means no matter how much Broad Spectrum CBD you take, there won’t be any chance you’ll experience a psychoactive effect and it won’t show up on any kind of lab test.
Just like Full Spectrum CBD, Broad Spectrum CBD contains other types of cannabinoids as well. With Broad Spectrum CBD, you’re getting essentially the same health effects as Full Spectrum CBD without the worry of getting high or failing a drug test if you take too high of a dosage.
About CBD Isolate
CBD Isolate is a bit different than Full Spectrum and Broad Spectrum CBD in that it only contains CBD and isn’t co-working with other types of cannabinoids. CBD Isolate is an option for those who intend to avoid even the most trace amounts of THC and who are content with only using the CBD compound as you won’t find CBG, CBN, or CBC in these products. CBD Isolate is a good choice to determine if you only want to try CBD without other compounds increasing or affecting the desired result.
Where does CBD come from?
CBD is extracted directly from the hemp plant.
Does it make you high?
No. CBD does not make you high because CBD does not contain tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) which is the psychoactive ingredient found in marijuana that produces a high. Using CBD in any form including CBD creams and CBD serums will not cause you to be high or make you test positive in a drug test. According to a report by the World Health Organization (WHO), “In humans, CBD exhibits no effects indicative of any abuse or dependence potential….To date, there is no evidence of public health-related problems associated with the use of pure CBD.”
Is CBD safe for the skin?
All Duo Senses CBD products including our CBD Creams, CBD Serums, CBD Oils, Capsules, Pain Balms, Roll-Ons, and Bath Bombs are safe to use. You do not need a doctor’s prescription to use our products and they can be easily purchased through our website.
What are other CBD benefits?
CBD has been known to provide many benefits including helping with anxiety, insomnia, addiction, chronic pain relief, reducing inflammation, and providing healing and soothing benefits to the skin and face.
Why combine CBD and CBG?
Our body contains two types of cannabinoid receptors—CB1 and CB2 and CBG works by binding to both receptors and thus strengthening the part of our neurotransmitter that alleviates pain, enhances motivation, regulates appetites, and improves pleasure and sleep. CBD and CBG balance each other out thus when you take CBD products that also contain CBG, it can amplify the benefits in the body providing both physical and mental relief.

We care about our customers in Canada and around the world and so we ensure that all our products are safe for our customers to put on and in their bodies.
In partnership with our farm (where our CBD is extracted naturally), we have a set testing standard for all batches of CBD and CBG prior to production and manufacturing. After production, a third-party lab in Canada conducts a test on the batches to ensure quality and consistency.
To give you our customers peace of mind we are fully transparent in all of our lab testing procedures and they can be viewed in detail here. Lab Testing Documents.
